During summer months the snowy mountains and hills of Aspen turn into trails meandering through the surrounding countryside. A number of unique opportunities are available, such as taking ski lifts high up the slopes and biking back down.

Government Mountain Biking Trail		Advanced	13 miles oneway	2 to 3 hours

	This trail connects Snowmass Village and Aspen, crossing several streams on a pretty ride through forested hills.

Lincoln Creek Road Mountain Biking Trail		Intermediate	22 miles round-trip	3 to 4 hours

	This moderate uphill climb along a bumpy jeep road leads to the ghost town of Ruby, just above timberline.

Little Annie Road Mountain Biking Trail		Intermediate	15 miles round-trip	2 to 3 hours

	Little Annie Road Loop heads south from Aspen and rises to over 10,000 feet, passing several abandoned mines along the way.

Maroon Creek Road Mountain Biking Trail		Beginner	21 miles round-trip	3 to 4 hours

	This paved road climbs up from Aspen to the Maroon Lake parking area, offering a spectacular viewpoint of the famous Maroon Bells.

Rio Grande Mountain Biking Trail		Beginner	16 miles round-trip	1 to 2 hours

	The Rio Grande Trail is a popular and easy ride that follows the Roaring Fork River along a flat and non-technical route.
